Facilities increase 35% logistical capacity of GÜBRETAŞ are launched
GÜBRETAŞ continues to support its R&D studies and leading projects in order to generalise conscious agriculture with facility investments have been made in different spots of Turkey. As the first company of the sector GÜBRETAŞ started its 67 years old story with the first factory established in İskenderun/Sarıseki, has enhanced its storage capacity 472 thousand ton by increasing it 35% owing to its new facilities recently completed and taken into service.
Iskenderun Laboratory which is an important part of Iskenderun Regional Office and R&D studies has settled alongside the logistic storages with high technology in the facilities which were constructed for less than a year with 59 million TL investment.
Facilities are built on 37 thousand m2 area in total include 16 storages with 7.500 m3 capacity for each one. Total storage capacity of GÜBRETAŞ İskenderun Logistics Center has reached 120.000 ton volume.
Owing to the storages completed, storage capacity of GÜBRETAŞ has increased 35% and reached 472 thousand ton. Due to the conveyor system involved in GÜBRETAŞ İskenderun Logistics Center which is as a successful example for modern substructure, not only maximum field will be used by cement batching operation, but also impacts might occur because of unnecessary handling of stocks. Quality of products and satisfactory of farmers will be assisted due to sandwitch panel system in storage facade aims to protect the products from climatic effects.
General Manager İbrahim Yumaklı: This investment will provide saving in every aspect
Due to the high storing capacity of new facilities which provide important saving to the company allover, operational activities like storing or shipping planning are going to be coordinated more effectively. Thus it is aimed to provide fast and more qualified service to the all farmers who receive supply from this location.
General Manager İbrahim Yumaklı who stressed that İskenderun has a special place in GÜBRETAŞ’s history, also said “GÜBRETAŞ which was founded as the first company of the sector by Adnan Menderes in 1952, enrich Turkey and Iskenderun’s lands for 67 years”.
Yumaklı who specified their biggest target as improvement of quality and fertility in agriculture, moreover said: “We maintain to create value not only for farmers who are our main partners but also for economy of our country by increasing the fertility and quality with our innovative products and investment facilities like this”.
Furthermore while Yumaklı was remarking the advantages facilities will provide used these words: We are going to economize in terms of operational abilities, economics, and time owing to increase of our logistics capacity and potentiality in the ratio of third by this investment which is now taken into service. This is going to ensure optimum productivity in our products and services”.

Chairman of Board Directors Fahrettin Poyraz who indicated the services and products of GÜBRETAŞ , as the most significant subsidiary of Turkish Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, keeps contributing in agriculture sector moreover added: “We need to discuss about fertility in agriculture, we need to take firm actions in this regard. Conscious agriculture term should be generalised. Increasing number of “conscious producers” is as important as “conscious consumer” concept. Moreover when we consider agriculture and economy of our country, it is even more crucial”.
Fahrettin Poyraz “GÜBRETAŞ not only develop products increase fertility in agricultural production but also makes many model implementations demonstrate the methods to reach maximum fertility. Such activities contribute to expansion of conscious agriculture. Furthermore, not only focusing on the products but also paying attention on such facility investments increase business productivity”.
Congressman of Hatay city Abdulkadir Özel in his speech thanked to GÜBRETAŞ for adding great contributions to economy of the region and those who contributed to establishment of the facility. Özel also added: “We support this precious investment for our region and wish to receive more investments that will increase productivity capacity of the harbour as well”.
